  • Study
Studied Music Theory and Composition under composer-in-residence Richard Willis, winner of the Prix de Rome. Study included the Berlioz Orchestration Technique, as well as extensive study of the orchestrations and choral techniques of Mahler, Wagner, Beethoven, Ives, and many others.
  • Symphony
Full-length original symphonic poem, Moment Orchestra, performed by the Baylor Symphony Orchestra.
  • Chamber
Many pieces for smaller chamber groups, with performances and live recordings of Edgar Allen Poe's Annabelle Lee for string quartet and voice, Variations on an Irish Folksong for woodwind quintet, among others.
  • Choir
Several choral works, including Psalm 70 and Lion’s Eyes which were written for, and performed by, the Baylor Chamber Singers and Baylor Chorale.
  • Piano
Recipient of the Van Cliburn full scholarship to Baylor University. Performed and recorded an album of original solo piano compositions, available on iTunes and the Music Store under the title Deep Blue Goodbye.
  • Transcription
Transcribed, at the request of publishers, songs from recorded albums for inclusion in piano songbooks, including Carmen’s Comin’ On Strong. Pending publication, a 35-page piano transcription of Modest Mussorgsky’s original 1867 orchestral score for St. John’s Night On The Bare Mountain.
  • Software
Extensive experience with music software on Mac and PC for sequencing, recording, mixing and mastering, including Apple Logic (and integration with Final Cut Studio and Soundtrack Pro), Ableton Live, Propellerhead Reason, Cockos Reaper, iZotope Ozone, Antares Auto Tune, Celemony Melodyne, and Sibelius.
  • Film
Score for the ACS Films production of The Wake Up directed by Anthony Smith (currently in post-production). Award-winning score for the Madness Trailer (2010 TIG International Film Scoring Competition). Score for Episode No. 1 of Shortbus TV by Red Rider Productions. Score for the short film Waiting Game directed by David Langford Schroeder.
